School Timings and Breaks
The school operates on both a five-day and six-day working week, as per government orders, with variations from Monday to Friday or Monday to Saturday. School timings also vary slightly from season to season, with changes three times a year (summer, winter, and spring) to meet seasonal conditions.
In addition to weekends and gazetted holidays, the school has two major breaks during the year: one in summer and one in winter. The duration of these breaks depends on regional climatic conditions.
Internal Assessment / Reporting
Read Our Policy
Internal Assessment / Reporting
A student’s academic progress is monitored in various ways: informally through teacher observations and more formally through assessments of classwork, tests, and examinations. We recognize that even the best-designed tests and exams can only evaluate limited areas of a student’s development, so we continuously seek more effective ways to assess and report on overall progress.
We use a portfolio assessment approach, which is a systematic, computerized album of growth and progress, showcasing the student’s efforts and achievements throughout the year within the framework of the curriculum. This approach enhances the assessment process by revealing each student’s range of skills and competencies, allowing the school to tailor assessments to individual needs and goals.
A progress report on each student is sent to parents at the end of each term. Parents are strongly advised to attend Parent-Teacher Meetings, where they can discuss all aspects of their child’s progress in more detail. When necessary, parents can also meet teachers at other times, but such meetings must be arranged through the Principal or Head Teacher.
